Masing-masing orang diperbolehkan untuk mempromosikan dan mengajak teman lainnya melalui berbagai media, seperti melalui facebook, twitter, e-mail atau apa saja. Kalau peminat mencapai jumlah 50 orang, maka sewa kamar diberikan dengan harga US $ 99. Tentu ada batasnya, misalnya maksimal 1500 orang, pendaftaran ditutup.

Konsep ini ternyata sangat sukses. Hingga pada bulan April 2010 dan (hebatnya) hanya dalam waktu 17 bulan, pendapatannya telah mencapai hampir US $ 500 juta! Pelanggannya meledak capai 13 juta dalam waktu singkat. Bisnis ini diperkirakan bernilai sekitar US $ 1,35 milyar! Hingga si raksasa Google sangat ingin mengakuisisi dengan valuasi yang berlipat-lipat.

Oke, kita kembali lagi ke Diskon Gila Disdus.com, pada dasarnya Disdus.com memiliki konsep yang sama dengan Groupon. Yaitu memberi diskon pada sejumlah produk dengan potongan yang sangat besar.
